The journal

At the Apia market, a woman selling koko Samoa insisted I try a square before buying, breaking it into my palm without asking. It was bitter and rich in a way chocolate back home never manages. Church bells started somewhere nearby, and half the stallholders paused mid-transaction like it was simply time to.
