At the Alofaaga blowholes, a local kid demonstrated the trick of throwing coconuts into the vents just before they erupted, sending husks rocketing skyward on the spray. He'd clearly done it a hundred times for visitors, but his grin when it worked looked as genuine as if it were his first.
