Getting around Mahé and Praslin uses the public SPTC buses and taxis, while inter-island travel relies on Cat Cocos ferries and domestic flights with Air Seychelles; there is no major ride-hailing app, so taxis and car hire dominate. Seychelles drives on the left.
Car vs taxi: Self-driving is ideal on Mahé and Praslin to reach beaches on the winding coastal roads (drive on the left); on smaller La Digue, bicycles and ox-carts rule, and taxis fill the gaps where you don't hire a car.
Money: The Seychellois rupee is used for cash, but cards are very widely accepted at hotels, restaurants and shops in this upscale tourist destination; carry some cash for small purchases, taxis and markets. Prices are generally high.
