Specification

Authentic Lucknow chikankari hand embroidery by master karigars (minimum 15 years experience); stitch types: shadow work, phanda, murri, jali, keel kangan, and tepchi as specified per French house design team; base fabric: supplied by French house (Bianchini-Férier silk, Bucol georgette, or equivalent); thread: 60/2 count Egyptian cotton or pure silk thread as specified; thread count per cm2 and stitch density to match reference sample approved by French house design director; no machine or aari stitch (100% hand work only — verification methodology agreed); WFTO fair trade certification on atelier; artisan identification card and photograph per panel (provenance traceability); lead time for full haute couture collection (50-80 pieces): 5-6 months from design brief approval

Atelier established 1987; 85 master karigars (all Lucknow domiciled, generational craft families); GI-registered Chikankari designation. Currently supplying embroidery to 2 Italian luxury brands (under NDA). French house visit to Lucknow atelier with design director standard procedure — fully accommodated. Sample embroidery library (50 reference panels) available at Lucknow showroom. Artisan skill documentation video archive (5 hours) demonstrating authentic hand technique available for French house design team review.
