I hiked up toward the Belvedere lookout mostly for the view, but it was the pineapple stand on the way down that stayed with me — a farmer slicing samples with a machete, insisting his fruit beat Bora Bora's. Pushy in the friendliest way, and honestly, I couldn't argue with the taste.

Mountain overlook offering panoramic views of two bays, verdant valleys, and the turquoise lagoon below. Best: May–Oct

Temae Beach · Beach

Moorea's finest white-sand beach with a shallow reef, tropical fish, and views across to Tahiti. Best: May–Oct

Cook's Bay · Bay

Dramatic bay named after Captain Cook, framed by jagged peaks with resorts and excellent watersports. Best: May–Oct

Working plantation tours showcasing tropical fruit cultivation and agricultural practices. Best: Year-round
