Lima

Culinary capital and colonial gem

The journal

Lima surprised me with its fog, a grey blanket the locals call garúa that never quite lifts. I ate ceviche at a counter in Barranco where the fisherman's catch was still glistening from that morning, the lime hitting my tongue like a small electric shock. The cliffs above the Pacific felt like the edge of something unfinished.
