How we use AI tools

AJG uses generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) as research assistants and drafting accelerators — never as final authors. Our process:

• Research phase: AI synthesises public information into briefs. All factual claims must be verified against primary sources before publication.
• Drafting phase: AI produces first drafts from principal-authored briefs. Every draft is reviewed, edited, fact-checked, and shaped by human principals before publishing.
• No auto-publishing: No AI output is published without human principal review and editorial sign-off.
• No fabricated expertise: Content never claims first-hand experience that the principals did not actually have.
• No hallucinated statistics: All numbers, dates, FTA articles, tariff rates, and regulatory citations are verified from primary sources (WTO, WCO, Indian government gazettes, EU Official Journal, central banks).

Fact-checking and sources

AJG's primary-source hierarchy for trade, legal, and regulatory content:

• Tier 1 (preferred): WTO, WCO, UN COMTRADE, Official Gazettes, EU Official Journal, national central banks, national customs authorities, DGFT (India), DGCIS (India), EU Commission DG TRADE publications.
• Tier 2: Bilateral chambers of commerce, industry trade bodies (CII, FIEO, EEPC, IBEF, EU-India Business Council), official country embassies.
• Tier 3: Reputable trade press (Reuters, Bloomberg, Financial Express), primary-source-cited analyses from consulting firms (McKinsey, PwC, KPMG, EY, Deloitte trade reports).
• Never: User-generated content, unverified forums, content farms, or AI output without primary-source verification.

How content is updated

• Quarterly review: All FTA status pages, tariff guides, and regulatory explainers are reviewed quarterly (January, April, July, October).
• Event-driven updates: Any signed FTA, new regulatory directive (e.g., CBAM phase, EUDR timeline), or structural policy shift triggers immediate review of affected pages.
• Timestamp transparency: Where page content has a "Last updated" or "Effective date" field, it reflects actual review dates — not the automatic site generation date.
• Deprecation: Pages referencing expired regulations, defunct FTAs, or withdrawn programmes are retired with a clear notice or redirected to a current successor page.

Corrections and retractions

If a reader identifies a factual error, AJG commits to:

• Investigation within 48 hours of notification
• Correction of the content if the error is confirmed
• An inline correction note at the top of the affected page
• If the error materially affected a commercial decision discussed on the page, we retract the original claim prominently

Commercial independence

AJG is a commission-only trade brokerage. Content decisions are editorially independent from commercial mandates:

• We do not publish favourable coverage of companies in exchange for mandates or fees.
• Country-specific guides, FTA analyses, and sector reports reflect our honest assessment of the commercial landscape.
• We do not accept payment for sponsored content, native advertising, or affiliate placements disguised as editorial.
• Where we mention specific firms, laws, or regulations, we disclose any relevant commercial relationship.

Privacy and data

AJG's content platform:

• Does not track personal identifying information beyond standard server access logs.
• Does not use third-party remarketing cookies.
• Does not sell or share reader data with third parties.
• Complies with India's DPDP Act 2023 and the EU GDPR for reader data handling.

AJG pages ship with explicit structured data (schema.org) including:

• Article schema with publisher, author, and datePublished on every article page
• BreadcrumbList schema on every URL for clear content hierarchy
• FAQPage schema where Q&A content appears

• Dataset schema where original tabulated data is presented

This transparency layer lets readers and search engines verify authorship, freshness, and context for every page.
